Two of my work associates told me they had done the install job themselves and it was really not that hard with the new type of connectors around (no sweating pipes necessary now) so I said why not. I ordered this unit and it was delivered with no problems and was packed very well. I was advised to open the box before the driver drove away to make sure there was no shipping damage and I did and there wasn't. I tipped the guy $20 for having to wait for me to cut the box open to inspect it. It only took a few minutes and then we were both happy. The install went very well and I just took it slow, re-reading the instructions a few times during the install.
