To understand this first you will have to know what your cold water temperature is for where and when you want to use this device. My cold water source is about 50F in the morning here in January. Add 40F to that, the unit will put out 90F hot water. Next you need know understand how much 0.5 GPM output is. It is certainly not full throttle on the hot water valve. More like what comes out of a drinking fountain. You can simulate this in your kitchen sink with a gallon milk container to see the actual output. Now that your expectations are set and if that works for you, you will be happy with this product. It is compact, simple and easy to install. I installed this on my own in for a bathroom sink where there is only cold water source. I did not have a dedicated circuit for this but i do have it in a GPFI breaker outlet.
